156% Rise in a Year: How This ASX Gold Stock Could Double Your Money Again

Rising Star in the ASX All Ords
The ASX All Ords Index has seen a significant increase of 8.0% over the last 12 months, but one particular ASX All Ords gold stock has outperformed this growth. Strickland Metals Ltd (ASX: STK) has been making waves in the market, with its share price surging by 156.3% since this time last year. As of early afternoon trade on Monday, Strickland Metals shares are trading at 20.5 cents each, which means that a $5,000 investment made 12 months ago would now be worth approximately $12,815.
This impressive performance suggests that the ASX All Ords gold stock is well-positioned to potentially double investors' money again in the coming year.
Strong Performance Driven by Gold Price and Exploration Success
Strickland Metals shares have benefited from both the record-setting gold price and the company's own exploration successes. On Thursday, the ASX All Ords gold stock closed the day up by an impressive 29.0% following a favorable exploration update from its Rogozna Gold & Base Metals Project in Serbia.
After receiving new gravity survey results, Strickland identified "significant" new target areas at the project. The managing director of Strickland, Paul L'Herpiniere, highlighted the importance of these findings, stating that the results have delineated three key mineralisation-controlling structures across the Rogozna Project area. He emphasized that the geological environment at Rogozna is highly fertile, with the potential to discover multiple large-scale mineral systems in addition to known skarn-hosted deposits.
Analysts Recognize the Potential
Analysts at Canaccord Genuity have also recognized the promising potential of this ASX All Ords gold stock. They noted that the 2025 gravity survey over the Zlatni Kamen licence aimed to map density contrasts and improve structural interpretation across the central project area. The combined dataset indicates that these structures host multiple high-density circular anomalies, interpreted as magmatic intrusive centres—key signatures of porphyry systems.
Canaccord remains optimistic about the ongoing exploration program at Strickland. According to the wealth manager, there are currently seven diamond drill rigs active across the project. Three of these are focused on Gradina to support the delivery of a maiden resource by late 2025, while one is at Shanac, and three are engaged in regional discovery drilling. Strickland is well-funded, holding A$52.4m in cash and liquid assets as of 30 June 2025, supporting the intensive exploration efforts.
Speculative Buy Rating and Price Target
Connecting the dots, Canaccord maintained its speculative buy rating on Strickland shares, with a 50-cent price target. This represents a further potential upside of 143.9% from current levels.
